As Director of Correctional Industries and Special Programs for Corrections Corporation of America (CCA), I would like to express my endorsement of Theotherapy Seminars, Incorporated.  The staff and leadership of Theotherapy have consistently provided an outstanding male and female offender faith-based residential program for the past two years at CCA’s Metro Davidson County Detention Facility in Nashville, Tennessee.

Theotherapy has maintained this effective faith-based program by developing a program manual, utilizing manualized curriculum, and using highly trained and qualified volunteers.  During the past two years, correctional staffs report an improvement in offender participants’ behavior and thinking process.  Theotherapy and CCA hopefully anticipate a reduction in the rate of recidivism for those inmates involved in the Theotherapy residential faith-based program.

I am very pleased to have Theotherapy’s residential faith-based program as a part of the quality programming CCA offers at Metro Davidson County Detention Facility.  Inmate participation in this program provides the offender with hope and an opportunity to learn principles and skills needed to successfully reintegrate into society as responsible and productive citizens.  Offender participation is voluntary, all offenders are eligible to participate regardless of their religious beliefs and the program operates in compliance with federal law, and the facilities policy and procedures regarding religious and spiritual services.  CCA anticipates and welcomes the development and implementation of additional Theotherapy faith-based residential programs in other CCA managed correctional facilities.
